Red Sox News & Links: Is Dylan Cease a Trade Target?

Free agent signee Lucas Giolito was introduced to the Boston media yesterday, not in a fancy press conference but over Zoom (one of the many things that sucks about post-pandemic life, IMHO). His quote about him not receiving much interest is what’s making the most news, but for what it’s worth, he seems genuinely excited about joining the team and working with Andrew Bailey to get back on track. Is it possible that Giolito is soon reunited with an old teammate? Dylan Cease of the White Sox has long been rumored to be on the block and the belief is that the Red Sox are now looking at trading for another starter. Giolito considers Cease a good friend. (Christopher Smith, MassLive)
