After walking just 20 batters in 101.1 innings for Portland, Victor Santos had issued 12 free passes in his first 25 innings at AAA, so it’s nice to see him hang a zero on his line there last night. If he can figure out how to miss bats, he might have a major league career. As for Duran, that’s a seven-game hit streak he’s got going, albeit something of an empty one, as he’s only totaled nine hits during those seven games.

Portland, W 5-2

Abreu, CF: 1-4, HR, 1 K

Rafaela, SS: 1-4, SB

Potts, 3B: 2-3, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 BB

In his six innings of work since coming over via trade, Taylor Broadway has yielded just 2 hits and one earned run, and hasn’t issued a single walk.
