Positively Whitlock

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Fishing for positives, I quickly landed on Garrett Whitlock.

	WHIP: 0.93
AVG: .169

His performance this season (and last) foretell great things for the future.

Looking a bit further, Michael Wacha, Matt Straham, Rich Hill, Tyler Danish, and John Schreiber have all exceeded any reasonable expectations to this point. Hill and Wacha have been godsends to the rotation, and with any luck, Straham, Danish, and Schreiber will be valuable additions to the bullpen for some time to come.

While Bloom's patience isn't paying considerable dividends right now, due to a punchless batting order, I consider stock in the Red Sox to be a strong buy at this point.
