Eduardo Rodriguez has pitched well recently, and hopes to continue against the cellar-dwelling Rangers.

The Red Sox look to continue their recent streak of bludgeoning last-place teams tonight against the Rangers behind Eduardo Rodriguez as they aim to keep pace in the rollicking AL East race (7:10 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-market).

Last night was a wonderful tonic to the poison of the Yankees series, not simply in the the Sox thrashed Texas behind the mighty Chris Sale, but we also got to see old friend Brock Holt. \o/ forever. Tonight, the resurgent E-Rod looks to quiet the Rangers bats again after the Texas offense put up a goose egg on Friday.

Jordan Lyles starts opposite #Ed, and he sports a 5.55 ERA coming into the game, so he fits the Texas pitcher mold quite nicely. Bobby Dalbec, who has been on fire, is back in the lineup but Jarren Duran is not, with Alex Verdugo switching over to center field, with Hunter Renfroe in right field batting seventh.
