Red Sox at Yankees lineups: Save the day!

The Sox almost won once today, but did not. What this post presupposes is: It would be cool if they actually still win?

The Red Sox look to salvage a sweep of Tuesday’s doubleheader when they square off yet again with the Yankees for a seven-inning game behind Nathan Eovaldi (7:05 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-market).

You know what we like here at Over the Monster Dot Com? We like it when the Red Sox beat the Yankees. We like it when the Sox, down two in the final inning with the bases loaded and no outs, score some runs. We like those days. Is today one of those days? So far, reader, it is not, for the Sox were down two to the Yankees in the seventh inning not two hours ago and there were no outs and they did not score.

But the day isn’t over yet.

Such is the dynamic of the Sox/Yankees matchup that a split can feel like a win for us little guys, no matter how big we get. So do not be upset over today’s loss! Redemption is possible. With these dudes fighting it out:
