Red Sox vs. Yankees lineups: Rockin’ Cole

It’s E-Rod vs. the Yankees’s “ace” tonight at Fenway.

The Red Sox can continue clowning the pitiful Yankees with a win tonight in Boston as Eduardo Rodriguez faces off with Modern Cheater cover boy Gerrit Cole (7:10 p.m., NESN, MLBN out-of-market)

The cheating crack is mostly tongue-in-cheek of course, and Cole is still far better off, and far better, than Garrett Richards, but low-hanging fruit is just as tasty as the stuff at the top. I think it is at least. I’ll look that up eventually. Seems like if it’s not the case it could be pretty interesting, so if I don’t look it up, voila, potentially interesting, whereas if I do look it up I might erase all hope, and what’s more important than hope?

I’ll tell you what: Dingers! And the Sox are good at providing those. Jarren Duran makes his first start after his inaugural dinger day, against Cole, off whom he hit the first pitch of his career for a single. The Yankees have another hilarious lineup, this one featuring Ryan LaMarre. Kick ‘em when they’re down? YES! The only way. Here are the full lineups of good and (in New York’s case) bad players:
