As he inches closer and closer toward his rehab assignment, Chris Sale was at Fenway on Wednesday for a live batting practice session. The reports from said session have been positive, to put it lightly. (Julian McWilliams; Boston Globe)

It seems all but certain that Matt Barnes will be named to the All-Star team this year, but the Red Sox closer doesn’t seem like he’ll be too worked up if for some odd reasons he doesn’t make it. (Chris Cotillo; Masslive)
