Good morning and welcome back to another episode of The Red Seat podcast. On today’s very special episode of the podcast, yours truly did some digging. That's right, after being challenged to go outside of my Max Scherzer pipe dreams I dug into the rosters of all of the teams in the league that I thought might be sellers. To do this I brought up the FanGraphs Roster Resource page for every team in the league and then looked at contract values and lengths to create this list. This list includes:
- Eight starting pitcher targets
- Four reliever targets
- Four outfielder targets
- Two middle infield targets
- Two corner infield targets
Keaton and I spend the entire second half of this show talking about these twenty players and exploring how they would fit on the roster financially and in terms of filling a need. You will have to listen to hear the specific names and which ones we think are the best fits.
During the first half of the show, we explore where the Red Sox stand after their sweep of the Yankees. Are the Yankees officially cooked? We also spend time exploring the pitching performances of Eduardo Rodriguez, Nick Pivetta, and Nathan Eovaldi, including which one of these impressed us the most. Finally, we discussed whether or not it was finally time to give Garrett Richards the old phantom IL stint to figure things out.
Lastly, we answered a bunch of your listener questions before ending the show.
We hope you enjoyed the show and if you did, make sure you subscribe to us on iTunes, Google Podcast, Spotify, or Stitcher. Also give the show a review. Five star reviews help us get in more ears and grow the show. Be sure to also follow us on Twitter. You can find Keaton @TheSpokenKeats, and you can find me @DevJake. Thanks for listening!
