I think this is the least amount of baseball I’ve ever covered in this space, but with the DSL not getting started for another couple weeks and the rest of the system having Mondays off, we’re left with the FCL. Oh yeah, it’s apparently called the Florida Complex League now instead of the Gulf Coast League. This is a thing I learned just yesterday. Too many changes in the minors this year. Anyway, there was not a whole lot going on in this game, which was cut short due to rain. There are a lot of interesting players to keep track of on the complex this season, probably led by Jordan, but it was a quiet day today. It is worth noting that Jordan played third base in his debut. He’s likely first base-only in the future, but like Triston Casas could see some third base early in his career. As for Player of the Day, I have to give this one to Diaz, who is as post-hype as a guy at this level can get.
Player of the Day: Danny Diaz
