Welcome back to another episode of the Over the Monster Podcast. Bryan and I have recorded in each of the last two weeks, but various technical difficulties have gotten in the way of those episodes actually being published correctly. It appears we have figured out the issues and we are back on track.
For this week’s episode, we look at a handful of different topics around the Red Sox right now as we head out from the month of May and into a crucial stretch here in June. We start things off by talking about the demotion of Franchy Cordero and what his future with the club may look like, and do the same with Colten Brewer. After that we get into the month of May, looking at the best and worst parts of the month for the Red Sox.
From there, we stop looking back and start to look ahead, and specifically at this brutal 17-game stretch in which they find themselves currently. (We should note that this was recorded prior to Tuesday’s game in Houston.) We talk about the upcoming schedule, and then how it may impact any decisions that are or are not made regarding the trade deadline based on this stretch. We finish up with some listener questions regarding Eduardo Rodriguez and a few other topics before signing off.
We hope you enjoyed today’s episode of the Over the Monster Podcast. If so, please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts, leave us a rating and a review, and recommend us to your friends. We’ll be back with you next week. (We hope.)
