We are back for Episode 15 of the Red Sox On Deck Podcast, your go-to source for everything prospects on the Over the Monster Podcast Network. On this episode, Shelly and Bob open with two well-deserved promotions. Brayan Bello improved to 5-0 over the weekend and was promptly promoted to Double-A Portland. With all of the Sox pitching prospect injuries, Shelly and Bob discuss whether Bello or Aldo Ramirez is the best healthy pitching prospect in the system. Johan Mieses was promoted from Double-A to Triple-A after hitting 11 home runs and leading all of the minor leagues at the date of the call-up. He has already hit two more in Worcester upon arrival.

Thaddeus Ward got Tommy John surgery last week with no warning, other than the forearm injury red flags. With the previous Bryan Mata surgery, and as we await Tanner Houck and Connor Seabold, the pitching depth may be tested if needed with the big club. Connor Wong returned from a three-week hamstring injury.

We also finally received word of the players to be named in the Andrew Benintendi trade. Freddy Valdez, an outfielder from the Mets, joins two right-handed pitchers from the Royals, Grant Gambrell and Luis de la Rosa. The scouting reports for all three of these players were discussed. The final results from the Olympic Qualifiers, featuring Jarren Duran, Triston Casas, and Jeter Downs, as well as an updated Top-100 from Baseball America (with the same three players) rounds up an extensive News and Notes section.

A quick lap around the Red Sox system features positive updates from Franchy Cordero, Marcus Wilson, Durbin Feltman, Jay Groome, Aldo Ramirez, Nick Yorke, and Jeremy Wu-Yelland to round out the show.
