After coming off two sweeps in a row, the Red Sox went to Minnesota and attempted to make it three in a row. The first game was postponed in response to the murder of Daunte Wright the Sunday before the series.

The pitching matchups were great during the series. Nathan Eovaldi, Eduardo Rodriguez, and Martín Pérez, while not sharp, were able to gut it out and give the offense a fighting chance. Rafael Devers, J.D. Martinez, and Alex Verdugo’s bats were on fire and the team won three out of the four against the Twins.

We also discuss the upcoming series against the red-hot Chicago White Sox. The pitching matchups this weekend will be must-see TV, especially with Lucas Giolito and Carlos Rodón taking the mound. Tim Anderson, Yermín Mercedes, and more look to attack Nick Pivetta, Tanner Houck, and Martín Pérez.

It should be a great and exciting weekend of baseball!

Be sure to join us Tuesday as we review that series with the White Sox and get set for a two-game stint at Fenway against the Blur Jays. Don’t forget to subscribe to the Over The Monster Podcast network so you never miss an episode!
