The Red Sox make their way back through their rotation as Garrett Richards makes his second start of the spring this afternoon against the Braves at 1:05 p.m. This one is a nine-inning game.
That is the plan, at least. Yesterday’s game didn’t so much go off as planned as much as it did not go off as planned, due to rain. Just incredibly rude, that rain. Hopefully there isn’t a repeat when the Sox arrive in North Port at the hilariously named CoolToday Park. CoolToday is a Florida-based air-conditioning company. Now you know.
Also I got the vaccine last night, so I feel cool today. NBD. But it’s freezing out, so it works that way too. I’m just trying to get the word count where it needs to be, people. It’s spring training for part-time writers as well.
Good news: Alex Verdugo back, and the game is on NESN. Bad news: No more time! I have to publish these lineups and then go see some animals.
