Red Sox vs. Twins lineups: 3/6 mafias

Back at it on a cold Saturday against old friend Tzu-Wei Lin.

The Red Sox host the Twins at 1:05 p.m. this afternoon at JetBlue Park for a five-inning game. Ryan Weber makes his first spring start for Boston, while Michael Pineda, still out there kicking around, starts for Minnesota. And this game? This one’s on NESN, baby.

Befitting a game on our network of note, we’ve got some boppers playing today. Alex Verdugo is resting again after his spring debut, which means Jarren Duran is again batting second and playing center (and there was much rejoicing). Kevin Plawecki also makes his first start of the spring after having things delayed to COVID issues. If the pattern of this spring holds, both Duran and first baseman Bobby Dalbec will have homered again.

The Twins, meanwhile, are doing us a solid and batting Tzu-Wei Lin ninth. Legends never die. Welcome back, sir.
