Welcome back to another season of the Over The Monster Podcast. You may recall last season it was myself (Matt) along with Matt coming to you on a weekly basis. This year, we’re giving Jake a little bit more of a break and Bryan is going to be joining me as the cohost every week.
For this week’s episode, we took a little time to look back at the offseason that was. Bryan was not on the podcast all winter, so we got some of his thoughts on his favorite and least favorite moves of the winter, with a good amount of talk on the Andrew Benintendi trade. We also talked about Jackie Bradley Jr., and what Jarren Duran’s continued emergence could mean for that pursuit.
From there, we move on from the offseason and onto this current spring. There really hasn’t been enough going on in these first three games to spend too much time on the actual action beyond just being happy it’s back. We do each pick some of the players who we are excited to see in action down in Fort Myers, though.
After that, we move on to some season predictions, specifically looking at some potential team award winners. We predict the team MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year, along with a darkhorse candidate for each. Finally, we answer a few of your listener questions before wrapping things up.
As always, we hope you enjoyed today’s show. If you did, please recommend it to your friends, rate, subscribe and review. See you next week.
