The Red Seat Podcast: Making predictions for the 2021 season

Welcome in to another episode of “The Red Seat” podcast. On today’s episode Keaton and I are engaging in one of my very favorite activities of the spring training season—making predictions. This is the one show per year that Keaton and I allow ourselves to expand the lens outside of the Red Sox and look at all of the teams and divisions in baseball.

As far as we know the 2021 season will return to a normal playoff format with division winners getting the automatic bid and the next best two teams playing in the wild card game. We spend this podcast predicting the order of that teams will finish in within each of baseball’s six divisions as well as making predictions about which teams will make the playoffs.

We didn’t stop there though, we also went round by round of the playoffs predicting which teams will advance ultimately ending in our World Series champ for the 2021 season. The best part about doing this is that Keaton and I did this completely in secrecy only revealing our answers to one another on the podcast so any commonalities are purely coincidental.

We then spend the final part of our show predicting the major awards including AL/NL Rookie of the Year, AL/NL Cy Young, and AL/NL MVP awards.
