FanPost Friday: Favorite spring training memories

When it comes to spring training, let’s be honest. The stats don’t matter, and for the most part, neither does the action we see on the field. It’s great to see guys getting work in, and it does a good job of whetting the appetite of the fans, but at the end of the day most of what you see on the field is just that, an appetizer.

Every once in awhile, though, a story takes on a life of its own and gets passed over the internet tubes and things truly get interesting in Florida, as stories of memetic t-shirts and the most random players becoming spring Hall of Famers reach our ears. On a totally random note, I wonder how Sam Travis is doing these days.

This week, with the games finally about to begin in earnest, feels like a good time to ask this question:
