FanPost Friday: Spring training storylines

Pitchers and catchers have officially reported and started their workouts. The spring training schedule is out. Players are in the Best Shape Of Their Life. Quotes are flying about how excited everyone is. It’s one of our favorite times to be alive. That’s right, it is spring training.

In the past, we have had some interesting stories come out spring training. One that always comes to mind is the “Who is the ace?” story from 2015, where a rotation of Clay Buchholz, Rick Porcello, Joe Kelly, Wade Miley, and Justin Masterson wore shirts that said “He’s the ace” and “I’m the ace”. Small things like that give a team character, and the 2015 team definitely had character. Other years have had their own unique flair as well.

This year, things are a bit uncertain to say the least, but hope springs eternal and we have a cast of new characters in town. So, here’s the question for this week.

What is your favorite spring training storyline? Which narrative are you most interested in seeing played out?
