Welcome back to another episode on your Over the Monster Podcast network, as we’ll be with you after every game of this postseason run. For this one, it is Matt and Keaton talking about the team’s 14-6 victory in Tampa Bay.
We start off the show talking about just how big this win was for the team and what a turnaround it was. This was not just a turnaround from Game One, either, though that was a big part of it. We also talked about the feeling around the game following Chris Sale’s rough first inning, and how much it flipped. And the biggest reason it flipped, of course, was Tanner Houck. We spent some time talking about how good he looked and what we might see from him the rest of this series, if anything.
From there, we move on to the offense for a bit, looking at how they were able to come back from getting shut out on Thursday to smacking 20 hits on Friday and tallying 14 runs in the process. We also look at the negatives with Chris Sale’s outing and what the starting pitching plan could look like the rest of the way. Finally, we give our Game Three predictions.
We hope you enjoyed today’s show. If so, please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts and leave a rating and a review. We’ll be back with you following Sunday’s game.
