Welcome back for another episode on your Over the Monster Podcast feed. We are with you for this entire postseason run, no matter how long it lasts, and for today’s show we have Matt, Keaton and Bob recapping what was a tough Game One loss, with Boston falling 5-0.
We started the show giving some credit to the Rays, as they just flat out looked like a better team. We talked about the Red Sox’ ability to make contact, but Tampa’s uncanny ability to be standing right where the ball was hit. The Rays positioning and their young core really stood out in this game more than anything the Red Sox did.
That said, the Red Sox did some stuff themselves. We talked about the rough outing for Eduardo Rodriguez and what our confidence level may be in him if he has to make another start. We also talk about the offense and the positives and negatives associated with them in this game. More positively, we noted how potentially important that outing was for Nick Pivetta. We end things by making Game Two predictions and likely jinxing the Red Sox into oblivion.
We hope you enjoyed today’s show. If so, please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts and leave us a rating and a review. We’ll be back with you tomorrow.
