With neither of their top two starters on regular rest, and with the team understandably not wanting to push Chris Sale right now, Eduardo Rodriguez is getting the Game One start on Thursday, and he couldn’t be more excited. (Ian Browne; RedSox.com)

Rodriguez, of course, is going to hit free agency this winter, so every time he takes the mound for the Red Sox it could be his last time doing so. He’s looking to leave his mark on October before potentially leaving. (Peter Abraham; Boston Globe)

How do these teams match up position by position? (Chad Jenning; The Athletic)

It seems weird to say this time of year, but pressure really does seem to be off the Red Sox. (Sean McAdam; Boston Sports Journal)

Bobby Dalbec didn’t have the best game on Tuesday, but he still was able to soak up the Fenway atmosphere. (John Tomase; NBC Sports Boston)

A lot of people were pumped for that game, and not just those at Fenway. (Chris Cotillo; Masslive)
