OTM Open Thread 1/7: It is Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone. So as a heads up, there’s not going to be anything on the site today. This isn’t out of protest so much as it just wasn’t possible to get anything together. Most of the stuff you see is worked on the night before, if not earlier, and yesterday was obviously a very difficult day for a lot of us to see what was happening in our country. If news breaks today regarding anything with the Red Sox we will surely be on it, but other than that we’ll be back to normal tomorrow. We hope, at least. I’d also just send out a reminder on our politics rules. Believe me, I understand the impulse and need to talk about these things, and I assure you there are plenty of places to do just that. I would like this to be a space for people who understandably want to get their mind on something less consequential for a bit. Please respect their wishes as well as our rules.
