Welcome back to another edition of The Red Seat Podcast. On today’s episode Keaton and I break down the tiny tidbits of actual Red Sox news at the top of the show, but the majority of the episode is spent on our predictions for the 26-man active roster.
There is much still unknown about this upcoming season including how many players will be on rosters to start the year, when the season will start, and what players will actually be on the Red Sox when it does start. We didn’t let that deter us from our exercise as we assumed 26-man rosters and that the season would start on time.
What Keaton and I projected was what we think will happen with this roster rather than what we want to happen with this roster. There were no imaginary trades here that hugely benefit the roster. We mostly just looked at free agent signings that we found to be most likely.
Keaton and I spend the majority of the time comparing our rosters position by position and answering some key questions about players who we have returning to the roster in 2021.
