OTM Open Thread 1/15: It is Friday

Happy Friday everyone. Today is the final day for teams and players to exchange arbitration figures. That means Rafael Devers and the Red Sox need to exchange figures today or risk a trial. It is not expected that the two sides will negotiate toward a one-year settlement before a trial, which does not preclude a longer term deal but does make it more likely the two sides will go to a hearing. In other sports, the Celtics are expected to get back to action today, at least as of this writing. That could potentially change again. Who knows? There’s also back-to-back national TV games tonight with Mavs-Bucks and Pelicans-Lakers starting at 7:30 PM ET on ESPN. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like.
