Red Sox vs. Blue Jays lineup: Bombs away Saturday?

Homers may be had tonight at Fenway.

The Red Sox look to win a second straight game against the Blue Jays, albeit a nine-inning one this time, when they square off tonight at 7:30 at Fenway Park.

Chase Anderson vs. Ryan Weber is the matchup, which is perfectly meh. It’s getting increasingly hard to say interesting things about these games, because they are garbage time and a half for both sides. The Blue Jays will almost certainly make the playoffs and the Sox will almost certainly nab a top 5 draft pick, at least if Rob Manfred says it’s okay. Did you know he has discretion to mess with this year’s draft order? Well, he does! I’m sure he handle it as ably as he’s handled everything else.

As for the game, the subject of this post, homer-hittin’ Yairo Muñoz jumps to the sixth spot in the order, while Bobby Dalbec will swing freely from the bottom of the lineup. The Blue Jays once again roll out the ghosts of Babe Ruth and Barry Bonds (despite his being alive) in the form of Rowdy Tellez, and I think you just kinda have to root for it at this point. Let the big boy eat. He’s gonna do it anyway.
