OTM Open Thread 9/27: It is Sunday

Happy Sunday everyone. This is it. This is the final game of the year. The Red Sox and Braves finish off their regular season schedules this afternoon starting at 3:10 PM ET. Boston will have Nick Pivetta on the mound while Atlanta counters with Bryse Wilson as the Sox jockey for draft position. They are, however, guaranteed a top five selection if the order is based on 2020 results. There’s some excitement around the league, too, with all games starting at the same time. The AL picture is mostly set with some seeding left to be desired. Most notable there is that if the Yankees lose and the Blue Jays win, New York would actually have to go to Tampa Bay for the first round, which would be wild. The NL picture, meanwhile, is still totally jumbled and I’ll just leave this here instead of trying to explain every scenario. Elsewhere, the Celtics are looking to force a Game Seven in their Eastern Conference Finals against the Heat. That one tips off at 7:30 PM ET. In the NFL, the Patriots have a 1:00 PM ET game against the Raiders. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like. As always, just be nice to each other.
