Red Sox at Braves lineup: Jackie Bradley Jr. is cleaning up

And other wacky stuff for the last series of the year.

The Red Sox begin their final series of the year tonight in Georgia when they face the Atlanta Braves.

The pitching matchup is Chris Mazza vs. Kyle Wright, and it is absolutely worth noting that this isn’t the end of the Braves’s season. They won the NL East and have baseball yet to play beyond Sunday. So you might see some shenanigans to line stuff up or give regulars breaks.

Or not, because if you see it tonight, it’s from our unofficial licensed side. Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts are both sitting. Christian Arroyo is batting second and, for only the second time in his career, Jackie Bradley Jr., who may be gone after this series, is batting cleanup. Bobby Dalbec is at his natural position at third base and Kevin Plawecki is behind the plate. Meanwhile, the Braves send out world-annihilater Ronald Acuña Jr. at leadoff, and it continues to stay bad from there. Trying to win is a hell of a drug!
