The Red Sox do battle again with the Yankees tonight at 7:30 at Fenway Park after last night’s clown show.
If you missed the end of Friday’s game, do yourself a favor and check the win percentage graph at the end of Matt’s War and Peace length recap — it’s nuts! Tonight’s affair should be much calmer, owing to positive insanity regression. Or at least that’s what 2020 wants you to think, before it strikes back harder than before.
J.A. Happ starts for the resurgent Yankees against Chris Mazza for the flaccid Sox. By next weekend we won’t have to read depressing sentences like this anymore until at least April, and if this year is any indication, maybe longer. You can predict neither baseball nor pandemicism, especially because I just made the second word up. Virus or no, I sincerely hope next year’s pitchers are largely not held over from this season. I’m not holding my breath.
Befitting the nearing of the end, Christian Arroyo is batting leadoff, Kevin Plawecki is behind the plate and César Puello, called up to replace Yairo Muñoz, is batting ninth and playing right field.
