We make predictions that are sure to be wrong!

Welcome back for another episode of the Over the Monster Podcast featuring myself and Jake Devereaux. For this week’s show we start off by looking at a little bit of news from the last few days. First up, we talk about the demotion of José Peraza, what it means for his future in the organization as well as what it could mean for others including Yairo Muñoz, Christian Arroyo and C.J. Chatham. We also discuss Austin Brice’s stock moving forward before talking a little bit about Nathan Eovaldi and the decision to bring him back in 2020.

After that, we get into the meat of this week’s show in which we try to predict what the 2021 roster will look like. To be clear, we know we’re going to be wrong about a lot of these things, but it’s an interesting thought exercise about how much work there really is to do this winter to put even a semi-competitive team on the field. We had plenty of disagreements on most positions outside of the core players, who neither of us see them trading before the start of next season.

After that, we answer some listener questions including a look at who could be on some top 100 lists next year and what we can expect from Chris Sale when he returns in 2021.

As always, we hope you enjoyed the show and if you did we would greatly appreciate it if you told your friends about it, subscribed on wherever you listen to podcasts and leave a nice review. I’m told that’s helpful.
