OTM Open Thread 8/5: It is Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone. The Red Sox are looking to snap their current four-game losing streak as they finish up their quick two-game set down in Tampa tonight. First pitch for that one is set for 6:40 PM ET and it’ll be Martín Pérez going up against Ryan Yarbrough. There’s some day baseball today, too, with the Phillies and Yankees playing at 4:05 PM ET. In the NBA, the Celtics are back in action after last night’s loss to the Heat, facing off tonight against the Nets starting at 9:00 PM ET on ESPN. Before that, the Thunder and Lakers face off at 6:30 PM ET. The Bruins are also in action tonight, going up against the Lightning in their second round robin game. That one starts at 4:00 PM ET on NBCSN, part of a day-long marathon of hockey starting at noon ET. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like. As always, just be nice to each other.
