The Red Sox dropped all three games this weekend against the Yankees. Something we have become familiar with so far this season is Red Sox starting pitching giving up runs early and that did not change here. In game one we saw Ryan Weber give up three runs early, and that was followed up in game two by Zack Godley giving up 5 runs in his 3+ innings of work. In both games the bats were unable to muster much of anything vs the Yankees pitching stranding 28 runners on base between the two games.

In game three however, the Red Sox bats came to life spotting the Red Sox pitching three different leads that would all be blown. The final blow came on Aaron Judge’s second homer of the game (and his 6th in his last 5 games), a two-run shot giving the Yankees the lead for the final time in a 9-7 loss.

Next up for the Red Sox is a two game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
