Red Sox vs. Phillies lineup: Make it stop

Can an afternoon game end the streak?

MLB: Philadelphia Phillies at Boston Red Sox
Ugh.
David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox can lose their 10th straight game when they square off against the Phillies this afternoon at 1:35 p.m. at Fenway Park.

In the midst of an all-time streak of futility, Boston sends rookie Kyle Hart to the mound against former Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta.

That’s very bad, especially because the Red Sox were ostensibly cursed for 86 years for trading their best player ever after their 1918 World Series title. This curse moved much faster.

Anyhow, here are today’s lineups. Sorry for the delay — Ron Roenicke took his sweet time with these. Honestly, wouldn’t you?
