Red Sox at Yankees lineup: This is the bad place

The Red Sox take on perhaps the best pitcher on the planet, but also Xander returns.

The Red Sox limp into New York to face the Yankees tonight at 7:05.

Gerrit Cole, a superstar the Yankees paid in line with his talent and their stature, starts for the Bronx Bombers. Colten Brewer, who hasn’t started a game since he did so in High A ball in 2016, starts for the Red Sox.

This is trash. It’s trash despite the fact they’re putting decent lineups out there, like tonight’s, which goes six deep on big bats before you hit the lottery ticket part. Of course the Yankees have a prospective MVP in Aaron Judge, a player I cannot imagine them ever parting with, so they’re still at a disadvantage. I wonder why that is. But. BUT! He’s not playing tonight because of an injury. Oddly I’m sorta disappointed. I want this team to reap what they’ve sowed, independent of how that improves their draft pick.

Anyhow I’m big mad so instead of impugning a bunch of guys trying their best at the direction of guys acting their cheapest I’ll just paste the lineups here:
