OTM Open Thread 8/13: It is Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone. It’s a trifecta in the Boston sports world today, with the Red Sox providing the middle game. They are looking to avoid a four-game sweep against the Rays today, with Kyle Hart making his major-league debut for Boston while the Rays have Tyler Glasnow on the mound. That game starts at 4:30 PM ET. Meanwhile, the Celtics play at noon against the Wizards, though it is a meaningless game for them and they will be resting their starters. The big game is in the NHL, where the Bruins look to build on yesterday’s double OT win against the Hurricanes and are looking for a 2-0 series lead. That game starts at 8:00 PM ET. That is the third of four NHL playoff games today. In the NBA, there’s a trio of games all one after the other on TNT with big implications in the Western Conference.
