Welcome back four a post-holiday podcast and our first episode of the show since the Red Sox (and most other teams) have picked up their workouts in this new summer camp or training camp or spring training 2.0 or whatever it is you are going to call it. Keaton and I had the podcast duties for today with Jake taking the weekend off. We started things off talking about some news around camp, including the placement of Jonathan Lucroy on the 60-man player pool and what we thought that meant for the catcher situation. We also talked about Josh Taylor and Darwinzon Hernandez testing positing for COVID-19 and the difficulties we have in talking about something like this in a baseball context.
After getting through the news, we moved on to the teams the Red Sox will be playing this year and power ranked the group of ten. We both had the Red Sox in the same vicinity in the middle of the pack, though I had them slightly higher, but the top of our list was surprisingly a bit different. Finally, we answered a whole lot of listener questions ranging from an alternate history of the early years of the franchise, suite mates and our preferred egg style.
We hope you enjoyed the show and if you did be sure to rate, subscribe and review on whatever platform you happen to enjoy the show. Until next time!
