Baseball season is now just a week away. It’s hard to believe, I know, but we’re on the precipice of our nation’s greatest past time... watching baseball.
To be honest, that we’ve made it this far without the season being cancelled outright is actually a huge surprise for me. And I imagine I’m not alone in this. There’s plenty of time this season for it to come crashing down at any moment, but for the time being, let’s enjoy that there’s any baseball at all.
This week, for FanPost Friday, my prompt for you all is this:
Going into 2020, what’s the biggest surprise you predict happening for the Boston Red Sox?
I’m going to go ahead and say we should focus on baseball, so let’s avoid things like “the season actually going to the very end” or “the Red Sox playing 60 whole games”. These things probably would no longer qualify as surprises anymore.
You can talk about any player, the team’s performance, or even a single individual achievement you think will be attained by one of our players. The only rule is I want you to focus on the Red Sox.
