Welcome back to another edition of the Red Seat Podcast. Jake was off from the podcast duties this week, leaving myself and Keaton to take care of business for this episode. I think we did okay, but I’m a little biased. We start off the show talking about the misery that is the negotiations between the players and owners. Since we last spoke, the players made their counter offer to the owners that included a 114-game season with full prorated salaries, expanded playoffs, deferments in the event of the playoffs being cancelled, and much more. The owners then refused that offer and didn’t make a counter of our own. Keaton and I discuss the latest on that front, the possibility of a 48-game season, and how we’d rather just see a tournament at that point.
After that, we get into some of the draft coverage with the draft just being a couple of days away now. We start out looking at the different format for this year and agree it will be fascinating to see what happens after the draft with the class of undrafted players. After that, we each pick the five players we most want to see Boston take. Somewhat surprisingly, there’s only one common player on our lists. Then we get to listener mail and send you on your merry way.
If you enjoyed this episode of the podcast, please rate and review and tell your friends about the show. It would help us out a whole lot. If you didn’t enjoy, perhaps don’t do any of those things.
