I don’t have a ton of time this morning so we’re going to make this a quick one. The Red Sox head north for a long trip up to Lakeland to take on the Tigers this afternoon. This one will start at 1:05 with no TV broadcast, though you can listen on 850 AM WEEI. Ryan Weber is going to take the mound for the Red Sox, and he is of course a favorites for one the two open rotation spots the team has at the moment. Matt Barnes will also be one of the pitchers following him in the righty’s first appearance of the spring. On the other side, Michael Chavis is back in the lineup and playing second base, while both Kevin Plawecki and Jonathan Lucroy get in as well. The former will be behind the plate doing the catching.
