Welcome back to another edition of The Red Seat Podcast! On this episode of the show you can find Matt and myself going over where the Red Sox roster currently stands and their recent moves with fine tooth comb.

We started off by discussing the potential reasons for a Yairo Muñoz demotion:

  • Do they have a planned roster move for his 40 man spot?
  • Is he still in their plans for this upcoming season?
  • Did they try and sneak him through before the Rule 5 draft on Thursday?

We then discussed the trade of Yoan Aybar to the Colorado Rockies. Why didn’t Aybar factor into the Red Sox plans? What sort of a return is Christian Koss? What can we expect from Koss in the future?

The meat of the podcast is then spent discussing the potential free agent options available to the Red Sox this winter, a list that has grown considerably after the non-tender deadline last week. We discuss the following possibilities:

  • Corey Kluber
  • Eddie Rosario
  • David Dahl
  • Kyle Schwarber
  • And many more

Finally, we weigh in on the Devers arbitration situation and whether or not the Red Sox made the right move extending contracts to all the payers that they extended contracts to.
