Some scary news from over the weekend as Jason Varitek’s wife Catherine tweeted that her husband has tested positive for COVID. Fortunately, as of now he seems to be doing well. (Boston Globe)

While most of the focus for the Red Sox this winter has been with an eye on improving the pitching, they could use some bounce-backs on offense as well, most notably from J.D. Martinez. Alex Cora is confident the slugger will be his old self again. (Steve Hewitt; Boston Herald)
