The Red Sox made their first semi-big player decision of the winter on Sunday when they opted to decline the 2021 option for Martín Pérez. It came as a bit of a surprise at first given how solid he was for most of last summer, but it’s not an unexplainable move. (Chad Jennings; The Athletic)
