OTM Open Thread 9/6: It is Friday

The Red Sox lost an absolute heartbreaker on Thursday, putting them in an unenviable position of needing to win at least three of four against the Yankees if they want at least an outside shot at making it to the postseason at this point. It’s unlikely, but stranger things have happened. The Red Sox are starting Jhoulys Chacín on Friday in the series opener, but figure to use a whole lot of arms throughout the night. The Yankees, meanwhile, counter with Domingo Germán. Elsewhere, there is no day baseball today, which stinks a lot. There is some U.S. Open semifinal action on the mens side starting at 4:00 PM ET, though, along with some college football at night. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like.
