Pawtucket L 3-4
Tzu-Wei Lin, SS: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Marco Hernandez, 2B: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 R, 1 K
Chris Owings, LF: 1-4, 1 2B
Rusney Castillo, RF: 0-4
Jantzen Witte, 3B: 2-4, 1 R, 1 RBI, 2 K, 1 E
Bobby Dalbec, 1B: 2-4
Josh Ockimey, DH: 1-3, 1 2B, 2 RBI
Travis Lakins: 1.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 2 K (15 pitches)
Bobby Poyner: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 1 K (26 pitches)
It was a tough game for the PawSox, who were right there throughout but just couldn’t get a scoreless inning when they needed to. All three pitchers in the game allowed at least one run, and that was the difference. For Lakins, it was the continuation of a really rough stretch in which he’s allowed runs in each of his last five outings.
Portland L 4-10
Jarren Duran, CF: 1-4, 1 BB, 1 R, 1 K, 1 SB
Marcus Wilson, RF/LF: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 R, 1 RBI, 3 K
C.J. Chatham, SS: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 R, 2 RBI, 1 K, 1 E
Joey Curletta, 1B: 0-2, 2 BB, 1 K
Jeremy Rivera, 2B: 2-3, 1 R
Durbin Feltman: 1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 3 K (29 pitches)
The Sea Dogs pitching had a really rough night on Wednesday, with Feltman once again struggling. It’s no secret at this point that he will not pitch in the majors this year, and at this point it’s about just playing out the string and regrouping next year. Hopefully this offseason will find a tweak to get him back on track to being a potential late-inning arm.
Salem L 3-5
Ryan Fitzgerald, SS: 1 2B, 1 R, 1 K
Pedro Castellanos, 1B: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI
Keith Curcio, CF: 2-4, 1 R, 1 K
Edgar Corcino, RF: 3-4, 1 CS/PO
Zach Schellenger: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K (26 pitches)
Like Feltman, Schellenger was seen before the season as a potential mid-season boost for the bullpen from the farm, but he has moved backwards in 2019. Control has been an issue all year, but the good news is that he has improved of late. This was a strong outing, and he has only one walk over his last seven outings. Baby steps.
Lowell L 2-3
Gilberto Jimenez, CF: 1-4, 1 R, 1 K, 1 SB
Jaxx Groshans, C: 1-4, 2 RBI, 1 K
Stephen Scott, 1B: 1-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Nicholast Northcut, 3B: 1-3, 2 K
Nick Decker, RF: 1-3, 1 R, 2 K, 1 SB
Antoni Flores, SS: 0-2, 1 BB, 1 K
Chris Murphy: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K (47 pitches)
It was a dominating performance for Murphy, who hasn’t really gotten much attention from this year’s draft class. The righty was selected in the sixth round and has a 1.00 ERA over six starts and 18 innings with 23 strikeouts and only three walks. Obviously it’s a small sample in a very low-level league, but he’s someone to remember when next season rolls around.
GCL G1 L 4-6

Matthew Lugo, SS: 1-3
GCL G2 W 5-0
Ceddanne Rafaela, DH: 1-3, 1 HR, 1 BB, 2 R, 1 RBI, 1 K, 1 SB
Daniel Bakst, 2B: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 K
Danny Diaz, 3B: 1-3, 1 2B, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 K
Fabian Andrade, 1B: 2-3, 1 BB, 1 RBI, 1 K
Brock Bell: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K
Brandon Walter: 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K
DSL 1 W 5-0
Eduardo Lopez, CF: 1-4, 1 BB, 1 K
Albert Feliz, DH: 2-4, 1 HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 CS
DSL 2 W 5-4
Denny Daza, SS: 2-5, 1 2B, 1 R
Bryan Gonzalez, DH: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 BB, 1 R, 2 K
Emerson Ortiz: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 5 K
