OTM Open Thread 8/29: It is Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone. The Red Sox are coming off a two-game sweep out in Colorado and celebrate with a day off today. They’re heading back to the coast to take on the Angels for the final leg of this west coast trip, looking to get back into this race. With that in mind, both the A’s and Rays have afternoon games today at 1:05 PM ET and 2:10 PM ET, respectively. Later tonight there’s a very interesting Cubs/Mets, Lester/deGrom matchup as well. Elsewhere, U.S. Open tennis continues and the entire NFL is playing their final preseason game, including the Patriots at 7:30 PM ET against the Giants. Use this space to discuss whatever you’d like.
