I am running behind today so I’m going to have to make this quick. The Red Sox really need this win tonight. Tuesday’s game was a disaster, and things have only gotten worse today with David Price and Dennis Eckersley going at it. Again. This feels like a point in the season where things could very easily spiral out of control and I would much prefer if that did not happen.
They’ll have Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound as they look to pick themselves back up. The good news is the southpaw has been good of late and is coming off an outstanding start against the Dodgers. We all know his trends can change on a dime, but you’d rather see a hot pitcher than a cold one. The Blue Jays, meanwhile, are throwing out Aaron Sanchez. This is a chance for the offense to score a ton of runs, the pitching to do well and have everyone focus on good baseball for a change. I can dream, right?
