The Red Sox (30-29), fresh off the pounding of a Royals (19-41) team that is very bad, plays them again, which is good, tonight at 8:15 behind Chris Sale, who is very good. The Red Sox should win, and there’s not a lot else to say, because the lineups are largely the same as they were yesterday, when the Sox did, in fact, pound the Royals, as their records and common sense dictate they should. Very little has changed since yesterday in this respect and Sale’s presence makes a repeat performance extremely likely. Sometimes baseball surprises you but other times it extremely does not, and this game is probably an instance of the latter. If not, you can blame me. I’m certainly putting it out there. But come on.
