The Boston Red Sox are looking for their fifth straight win on Sunday afternoon at Camden Yards when they take on the Baltimore Orioles at 1:05 p.m. ET.
The Red Sox have annihilated the O’s in games 1 and 2 of the series, putting up 20 runs while only allowing four. It seems like the bats are finally heating up.
While the bats are heating up, Brian Johnson is set to take the mound for the Sox after a prolonged rehab assignment. Johnson is 1-0 on the season with a 12.71 ERA, but that doesn't show how lucky the Red Sox are to have him re-join the lineup.
Johnson will hope to provide a steady arm to the rotation as it’s been looking for someone to hold down that spot.
Although it may not be impressive that the Sox have put up plenty of runs over the past two days against the Orioles, it should hopefully give the team a boost of confidence after a shaky start to the season, which could be particularly important leading up to a series against the Twins, baseball’s best team.
Here’s today’s starting lineups:
Note: Andrew Benintendi was originally batting second and DH’ing, but he was a late scratch. Eduardo Núñez moved from 2B to DH, and Marco Hernandez was added to the lineup.
