MLB: Tampa Bay Rays at Boston Red Sox Paul Rutherford-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to another edition of the Over The Monster Podcast. In today’s episode Keaton and I update you on some injuries, most of which are to second baseman. We also ask the question what happens when all of these imperfect options at second base come back? We spend the bulk of the show looking at some key metrics on offense, pitching, and defense to answer the question of “Why is this team so bad?” We then look at Pythagorean records and see if what we are seeing on the field and in the standings matches up with what math says the team should be doing. The results are not so encouraging. On the bright side starting pitching has been much better over the past two weeks! After we do our best impression of emergency room doctor diagnosing the Red Sox problems we then answer all of your listener questions.
