The soggy Red Sox (9-15) look to put a pitiful Tuesday behind them when they face the plucky Tigers (12-10) tonight at 7:10 p.m. behind Eduardo Rodriguez (1-2, 7.20 ERA) in what would ideally be a win for the home town boys, all things considered.

I did not like yesterday. Yesterday was bad. The good thing: It will never be yesterday. Not now, not ever, just as a matter of policy. Alex Cora runs out the same lineup he did on Tuesday night, but it is still not yesterday. Yesterday saw the end of a winning streak. Today marks the start of one.*

The Tigers start Tyson Ross (1-2, 3.38 ERA). Let’s hope this person — I’m pretty sure it’s not a bot — is right:

If they’re not, it will be another case of someone being Wrong Online. Something’s gotta give, folks!
