Red Sox vs. Twins Lineups: A whole lot of regulars

More familiar faces to play on Sunday

MLB: Boston Red Sox-Media Day Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Sunday will be the third game this spring for the Red Sox, but it will be the first that features primarily position players who are shop-ins for the Opening Day roster. The only players in the starting lineup who are not under that category are Sam Travis, who will play first base, and Cole Sturgeon, who will man right field. Along with those two we will get our first look of 2019 at Andrew Benintendi, Xander Bogaerts, Jackie Bradley Jr., Eduardo Nunez and Brock Holt. Rafael Devers will get his first start at the hot corner while Christian Vazquez plays behind the plate.

The pitching side isn’t quite as exciting with Ryan Weber, a minor-league signing this winter, starting the game. I haven’t seen a full list of pitchers scheduled to appear on Sunday, though the Eagle Tribune’s Chris Mason says Denyi Reyes will make an appearance.

Here are the full lineups:

First pitch Sunday will be 1:05 PM ET. It can be heard on 850 AM WEEI, watched locally on NESN and it will be replayed nationally on MLB Network at 8:00 PM.
